Call for Profi Freaks for Meet the Freak
Meet the freak!!! means two weeks of sharing and gaining international art experience in Bremen, Germany between18 August - 2 September 2007.

What brings different European volunteers for two weeks to an island in the centre of Bremen? The opportunity to confront their views of the world through dance, theatre, painting, music or media, Graffiti, DJing, Juggling. The opportunity to explore themselves and possibilities of amateur art. Meet peers from other countries; learn new skills and abilities from each other. But mostly, to live through a strong moment in an open and acceptable international atmosphere.
Meet the Freak!!! creates space not only to try out new ideas. Its aim for all the freaks is to experience different art fields, combine them and create different interactive workshops for the public in Bremen. The two weeks, full of teamwork, cooperation and fun work towards a final event. A festival organized by the freaks which offers a freaky atmosphere, workshops, performances and concerts in the camp.
This year's topic: Interaction
We are looking for people interested in facilitating one of the two days workshop (Theatre, Dance, Painting, Graffiti, DJing, Juggling) during Meet the Freak. What does it mean? In the beginning of the camp you will lead twice a two days workshop within your art field. Later in the camp the role of the profi freak is to lead your group towards a final event which should contain some interactive workshops, activities, performances for and with the public in Bremen. These performances are ideally a combination/ cooperation of different art fields.
Are you
Between 16 and 29 years old
Experienced in leading workshops in one/more art fields
Experienced in working with groups
Interested in spreading the idea of amateur art into the world
Able to communicate in English
Comfortable with working in a team
Able to motivate people
Are you interested already before the camp to communicate with other members of the Meet the Freak Team?
You can come to the preparatory meeting 5-8 July in Bremen.
You can arrive already 2 days before the camp starts in Bremen (16 August)
